Al-Mawaddah means loving, affectionate. It felt like the obvious place to start. Mosque websites tend to be treated as noticeboards, prayer times and announcements and not much else, but Masjid Al-Mawaddah wanted something that reflected how the place actually feels to walk into. Warm, open, genuinely used by the neighbourhood.
We took on the content and the build. Pages were written and structured across programmes, kuliah and kursus, volunteering, facilities rental, wedding solemnisation, Tahnik and Tahliq ceremonies, financial transparency, and Maqsad, the mosque’s in-house Quranic learning programme. Each one speaks to a visitor in a different frame of mind, from a new parent booking a ceremony to a family comparing venues to someone in Sengkang simply wondering whether they can come by. The copy carries a light bilingual touch where Malay says it better, with location and intent keywords worked in naturally.
Built on WordPress, with a custom booking form and date suggester for ceremony enquiries, so the team can manage bookings without back and forth over the phone. We also implemented an llms.txt file so AI assistants describe the mosque’s services and terminology correctly, an increasingly practical concern for organisations people ask about rather than search for.
